Mill Valley Ranch - 525 Tynong North Road, Tynong North, Victoria, 3813 - (03) 5942 8356 - mvr@mvr.org.au Mill Valley Ranch is a Christian Youth Holiday Camp with a difference. Visitors and Campers alike are amazed as they enter the gateway to find themselves in an 1880's style Western Village. The comfortable Bunkhouses have elaborate Shop Windows full of interesting items of a bygone era. The Waggon Circle provides adventure accommodation. A large, restaurant quality, mudbrick Dining Hall, known as the Stage Coach Inn, is beautifully finished with stained glass windows. Take the virtual tour to see the many interesting, authentic buildings. The Ranch is open all through the year. During the School Holidays we run week long camps called Roundups. During term time we have School Camps, and of course, we have many weekends available for Weekend Groups. All enjoy the peace, the activities, the horses and the friendliness of the Staff. The Ranch has excellent facilities, including facilities for the disabled. The Ranch is set on 150 acres of farming land close beside the forest, at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges. We run sheep, cattle and horses and have an area of natural bush. Our graded Western Horsemanship Program includes Theory, Horse Care, Saddling and Grooming, Riding Lessons and Trail Rides. The length of each camp determines how much can be covered. Many Ranchers return to work on their Horse Levels; advanced riders can compete in the local Quarter Horse shows. Our trained instructors teach beginners through to taking advanced clinics. Experience the challenge of the Ropes Course, Swim or go Boating in the Lake, learn Archery and play Team Games. Our unique Chapel Hour, Craft, Night Hikes, Initiative activities and Tours of the district on a Harness Waggon behind our Clydesdales are just some of the activities offered in an exciting program. Mill Valley Ranch is a not-for-profit Christian camp with very reasonable rates. The Ranch is set up for young people aged from 10 - 17 years. Our belief that every person is special is reflected by the caring, trained Staff in each area of the Ranch. The Ranch is managed by Arthur and Bonnie Bartlett and the Committee of Management under a Board of Directors. Please take the time to explore our website and do not hesitate to e-mail us with requests or feedback. |
