School Camps

Mill Valley Ranch currently has quite a number of regular School Camp bookings. Teachers find it refreshing to be able to concentrate on getting to know their students without having to worry about food preparation, chores, cleaning or organising the daily program. All these are taken care of by the Ranch Staff.

The Ranch Program Director organises Camp and has a wide variety of activities and games and ideas. Ask for a copy of a Sample Program and let us know if there is anything that you particularly would like to cover.

Our Horse Program Co-ordinator holds the Association of Horsemanship Safety and Education qualifications, as do a number of the other Riding Instructors.
(AHSE is the Australian chapter of CHA, a world recognised accreditation)

Lake activities are supervised by qualified Staff. However, it is helpful if schools bring a qualified Staff Member too. A number of Full-time Staff have had First Aid Training.

The Teachers are asked to help supervise the behaviour of the Students and to run some evening activities.

Secondary Colleges, Primary, Private Grammar, Catholic and Christian Schools all come to the Ranch regularly and over the years we have developed strong friendships with both individual Teachers and Schools.

Grades 5 and 6 and Years 7 and 8 are our most regular age groups. Older grades are quite welcome too.

Fees are reasonable at $45(Aust) per full day. From Monday 1:30pm to Friday 1:30pm is classed as a 4 day camp. Tuesday - Friday is classed as a 3 day camp.

Chapel is well accepted by all the Schools who come to the Ranch and is an integral part of our Program.

Food Menus are available on application, and special dietary needs are catered for where possible.
